Yore-Tiller Mana Rituals (Burst Mana Effects)

Find Yore-Tiller (white-blue-black-red) mana rituals and burst mana effects for Commander. Explore one-time mana acceleration for WUBR decks.

Yore-Tiller is the classic storm ritual shell. Black provides Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, and Songs of the Damned; red adds Seething Song, Desperate Ritual, and Mana Geyser; blue copies them all with Fork effects and chains them with Thousand-Year Storm. Missing green means no Mana Reflection or Mirari's Wake - WUBR doesn't double mana production, it generates burst mana by casting many cheap spells in rapid succession. This is the most explosive ritual package in four colors.

    The Full Black-Red Ritual Suite

    • Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, Seething Song, Desperate Ritual, and Pyretic Ritual - WUBR has access to both major ritual families simultaneously
    • Mana Geyser in a four-player game routinely generates ten or more mana, and blue's Fork or Reverberate doubles that to twenty
    • Songs of the Damned scales with graveyard size, and WUBR's combination of self-mill (blue) and sacrifice effects (black/red) fills the graveyard fast
    • Past in Flames and Yawgmoth's Will let you replay every ritual from the graveyard in a single turn - the signature move of Yore-Tiller storm
    • Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist generate additional mana from each ritual cast, creating chains that fund themselves

    Storm Without Green Doubling

    • No Mana Reflection, Mirari's Wake, or Zendikar Resurgent - WUBR can't passively double mana, so it must actively chain spells for burst turns
    • Thousand-Year Storm, Bonus Round, and Archmage Emeritus turn ritual chains into card and mana engines that snowball without green's enchantment doublers
    • White's Grand Abolisher and Silence protect combo turns - red-black rituals into a protected storm sequence is the quintessential WUBR play pattern
    • Without green's land-untap effects (Early Harvest, Turnabout in Ink-Treader), Yore-Tiller relies entirely on spell-based mana, making counterspells the primary threat
    • Lean into artifact mana between burst turns - WUBR's heavy rock package provides the baseline mana that sets up explosive ritual sequences
