Glint-Eye Mana Rituals (Burst Mana Effects)

Find Glint-Eye (blue-black-red-green) mana rituals and burst mana effects for Commander. Explore one-time mana acceleration for UBRG decks.

Glint-Eye is the ultimate ritual shell in four-color Commander. UBRG combines black's Dark Ritual lineage, red's Seething Song bursts, green's mana doubling, and blue's ability to copy spells and chain through storm payoffs. The only thing missing is white - which means no Smothering Tithe ramp, no Grand Abolisher protection for your combo turn, and no Silence effects to force rituals through. But with three ritual colors plus blue's amplification, Glint-Eye rarely needs the safety net.

    Blue Amplifies Every Ritual

    • Fork, Twincast, and Galvanic Iteration copy a Dark Ritual or Mana Geyser, doubling the output for just two additional mana
    • Thousand-Year Storm rewards ritual chains by copying each subsequent spell an additional time - a second Seething Song becomes four copies
    • Narset's Reversal bounces an opponent's spell while copying your own ritual on the stack, creating card advantage alongside burst mana
    • Hullbreaker Horror and Tidespout Tyrant let you bounce and recast cheap rituals repeatedly, generating mana with each iteration
    • Past in Flames and Mizzix's Mastery replay an entire graveyard of rituals, giving UBRG a recursive burst turn unavailable without blue-red

    Storm Without White's Protection

    • No Grand Abolisher or Silence means opponents can counter your key ritual or respond mid-chain - hold up your own countermagic on combo turns
    • Defense Grid taxes opposing interaction during your turn, partially replacing the Abolisher effect that white would provide
    • Blue's own countermagic (Pact of Negation, Force of Will) protects ritual chains by trading cards rather than requiring proactive setup
    • Green contributes Channel, Early Harvest, and Rude Awakening as ritual effects that produce massive mana from lands rather than spells on the stack
    • Dockside Extortionist plus Temur Sabertooth creates a repeatable ritual loop unique to red-green shells that blue tutors can assemble consistently
