Esper Mana Rituals (Burst Mana Effects)

Find Esper (white-blue-black) mana rituals and burst mana effects for Commander. Explore one-time mana acceleration for WUB decks.

Esper has access to black's entire Dark Ritual lineage and blue's spell-copying to double them. Dark Ritual into a turn-one Rhystic Study is a classic Esper play, and Cabal Ritual with threshold adds five black mana for combo turns. Without red's Seething Song or green's creature-counting rituals, Esper's burst mana is spell-based and tutor-consistent - you find the right ritual for the right moment.

    Black Rituals with Blue Copying

    • Dark Ritual adds three black for one mana - deploy a turn-one three-drop or fuel an early Ad Nauseam combo turn
    • Cabal Ritual with threshold adds five black mana, and Esper's fetchlands and tutors enable threshold quickly
    • Songs of the Damned scales with creatures in graveyard - devastating after a board wipe or Entomb setup
    • Blue's Narset's Reversal copies a ritual and returns it to hand, letting you cast it again next turn
    • High Tide doubles all Islands' output for a turn - combined with untap effects, it generates enormous mana

No Green or Red Means Spell-Only Burst Mana

    • Without green, you lose creature-based rituals like Circle of Dreams Druid and Gaea's Cradle effects - all burst comes from spells
    • No red means no Mana Geyser or Seething Song - but black's rituals are cheaper and more efficient for combo lines
    • Blue counterspells protect your combo turn - Pact of Negation and Force of Will ensure rituals resolve when it matters
    • Black tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor find the exact ritual you need, making Esper's burst mana surgical
    • White's Silence and Grand Abolisher prevent opponents from interacting during your ritual-fueled combo turns
