- Without Goldspan Dragon, treasure tokens only produce one mana each when sacrificed, halving the per-treasure value other four-color decks enjoy
- Missing Professional Face-Breaker and Magda, Brazen Outlaw removes combat-based treasure triggers that reward aggressive play
- Revel in Riches remains available through black as an alternate win condition, but generating the ten treasures required takes much longer without red's burst production
- Green's token doublers (Doubling Season, Parallel Lives) are essential in Witch-Maw - they multiply the few treasure triggers you have to match red-containing decks' output
